Frequently asked questions

Is the scanner data live from CNIPA?

Live within 48 hours. CNIPA's public search has a 1-2 day publication lag, so newly-filed marks may not appear immediately. Our cache refreshes nightly.

Does running the scanner alert the squatter?

No. The scanner queries CNIPA's public search the same way any anonymous user would. There is no notification to mark holders.

What happens if the scanner finds a high-risk hit?

You get a recommended next step — usually a same-day partner-firm consultation to assess opposition, non-use cancellation, or workaround options.

Is this tool free?

Yes. Email-gated so we can send you the live updates and adjustments when CNIPA, MIIT, or AIC change a rule. Unsubscribe with one click.

Will you contact me after I download?

Only if you say yes on the form. The default is one welcome email and then silence until you reply.
